The CIO Klub Chennai and CrowdStrike collaborated this time for taking the message of wellness to a different set of participants during the Covid 19 pandemic. It was a great turnout with close to 150 registered participants where once again we discussed all aspects of health and wellbeing including fitness, it’s impact and desired outcomes during this time of solidarity and challenge. The session and Q&A pushed boundaries and made everyone reflect on the present and future possibilities.
Devotion to promoting healthy lifestyles is the basis and primary focus of our practice. We value the trust and confidence with whom we work in partnership for better health and better lifestyle.

Joy is not simply a feeling of happiness. It is the presence of peace and contentment that has the power to sustain us even when our lives are challenging and stressful. Joy is something you create by intentionally doing things that bring pleasure, peace, or purpose to our lives.
Spirituality might just be being at peace and harmony with nature and humanity. Some find spirituality in their loved ones, music or art. Others find it in their values and principles.
Some people relate spirituality to the deepest part of their beliefs. The part that allows them to draw meaning of their lives and the world we live in, helping them know they have a purpose to fulfil.
What we do know is that spirituality is unique to each individual, and how they choose to express it will therefore take on many different forms.
But in a world that's becoming more driven by science and evidence based systems, are we becoming more spiritual or more skeptical?
Today we've become obsessed with 'life-hacks' - shortcuts that allow you to perform an action or reach a goal with the least amount of effort possible.
Although some of these so-called hacks are useful, most end up sacrificing some crucial part of the act in question. As a result, the quality of our work diminishes. This is the opposite of what we want from a hack.
Creativity, however, can be hacked, and in a way that enhances our output in other areas of our lives - even those traditionally less creative pursuits like medicine or law.
'Love what you do and you will not have to work a day' or 'Follow your passions' are a few adages we keep hearing when it comes to work & career. But how does one do it in the real world? A stressful job, unhealthy lifestyles, poor sleep can create blockages where you lose your true soul connection. Building the right mind-body connections can help us make better choices personally or professionally.
Education is not literacy. It’s a way of living. Its an evolved mind, with a willingness to learn and adapt. So the question is, when does education stop? The answer is never. You can pick any area of your life and see if you can claim that you have done it all, or that you know all there is to know. Hence it’s not a destination but a journey. You can have pit stops but with the mindset of constant improvement. Education is ‘Being Better Everyday’.
Health is the ability of a biological system to acquire, convert, allocate, distribute, and utilize energy with maximum efficiency. The definition of health has evolved over time. In keeping with the biomedical perspective, early definitions of health focused on the theme of the body's ability to function; health was seen as a state of normal function that could be disrupted from time to time by disease. An example of such a definition of health is: "a state characterized by anatomic, physiologic, and psychological integrity; ability to perform personally valued family, work, and community roles; ability to deal with physical, biological, psychological, and social stress".
Exercise is any bodily activity that enhances or maintains physical fitness and overall health and wellness. It is performed for various reasons, including increasing growth and development, preventing aging, strengthening muscles and the cardiovascular system, honing athletic skills, weight loss or maintenance, and also enjoyment. Frequent and regular physical exercise boosts the immune system and helps prevent certain "diseases of affluence" such as coronary heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and obesity. It may also help prevent stress and depression, increase quality of sleep and act as a non-pharmaceutical sleep aid to treat diseases such as insomnia, help promote or maintain positive self-esteem, improve mental health, maintain steady digestion and treat constipation and gas, regulate fertility health, and augment an individual's sex appeal or body image.
Food is much more than just something that tastes good and fills up your stomach. What you eat can heal, cause sickness, or even inflict pain. Cooking your own meals can teach you what foods are high or low in certain vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients. It will even boost your creativity as you learn to combine nutritious foods to satisfy your palate!
Cleanliness is next to Godliness. How we keep our body and mind is how we keep our house and vice versa! The more clutter-free, natural, stress-free we keep our house, the more it will translate into a grounded & spiritual mind along with a disease-free, less toxic and healthy body. This amalgamation results in more productivity at work and joyous strong bonding in the lives and relationships of the people sharing that 'home environment'.
Open, honest and safe communication is a fundamental part of a healthy relationship. The first step to building a relationship is making sure you both understand each other's needs and expectations - being on the same page is very important. That means you have to talk to each other! The following tips can help you and your partner create and maintain a healthy relationship:
Speak Up. In a healthy relationship, if something is bothering you, it's best to talk about it instead of holding it in.
Respect Each Other. Your partner's wishes and feelings have value, and so do yours. Let your significant other know you are making an effort to keep their ideas in mind. Mutual respect is essential in maintaining healthy relationships.
Compromise. Disagreements are a natural part of healthy relationships, but it's important that you find a way to compromise if you disagree on something. Try to solve conflicts in a fair and rational way.
Be Supportive. Offer reassurance and encouragement to each other. Also, let your partner know when you need their support. Healthy relationships are about building each other up, not putting each other down.
Respect Each Other's Privacy. Just because you're in a relationship doesn't mean you have to share everything and constantly be together. Healthy relationships require space.
One particularly intriguing observation was that while low social participation and lack of social goals independently were associated with lower levels of well-being, when combined they each magnified the other's effect. A socially engaged lifestyle often involves cognitive stimulation and physical activity, which in turn may protect against the neurological and physical factors underlying cognitive decline.

"A State of complete physical, mental, and social well being, and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity." Health is a dynamic condition resulting from a body's constant adjustment and adaptation in response to stresses and changes in the environment for maintaining an inner equilibrium called homeostasis.
"Manage your energy, not your time." This is the quote that made Tony Schwartz famous. And it's one that we believe best represents a truly efficient lifestyle in the 21st century. Yet, living "manage your energy, not your time" is incredibly hard. It probably takes time to fully grasp it.
Trying to make them jealous, or going AWOL to get a reaction out of them is not a good idea if you want something long-lasting. Usually people use these games to stoke the fires in relationships and test boundaries, but these actions are almost always guaranteed to make the relationship short-lived, resulting in the downfall. Everyone wants a butterflies-in-your-stomach still-in-love-50-years-later kind of love. But, based on the research of failed relationships and marriages, not many are willing to put in the work.
Spirituality is a broad concept with room for many perspectives. In general, it includes a sense of connection to something bigger than ourselves, and it typically involves a search for meaning in life. As such, it is a universal human experience - something that touches us all.
